Overview

As of September 11, 2026, the *Steal an Egg* Pet Index contains roughly 122 to 127 pets. The collection spans 88 biome pets across 11 zones, 15 exclusive Rift pets, and limited Shop variants. The highest-earning pet is the Divine-tier Shattered Colossus, which generates $3.5 billion per second. Pets are obtained by stealing guarded eggs from biome nests, outrunning guardian beasts and rival players, and hatching them in your base pen. Each hatched creature generates passive income that funds treadmill upgrades, trail improvements, and biome unlocks.

Core Mechanics & Egg Behavior

**What it is:** The pet acquisition loop revolves around locating nests, extracting eggs, and returning them to your base without losing them to environmental hazards or other players.

**How it works:** After grabbing an egg, you must navigate back to your hatchery. Once placed in a pen, the egg hatches into a pet that begins generating money per second. Income is not static; size and mutation multipliers stack on top of a pet's base rate. Carrying larger eggs applies a higher value multiplier to the animal inside, but it also makes the carrier slower and heavier, increasing the risk of being tackled by rivals or caught by guardian beasts.

**What to watch for:** Egg colors are purely cosmetic. They change the appearance of the egg and the resulting pet but do not affect income generation. Evaluate eggs by shape and size instead. Eggs also reset on a roughly 5-minute cycle, consisting of about 4 minutes and 50 seconds of active play followed by a 10-second night reset where eggs grow 30 times faster. (Note: One source cites a 4.5-minute night reset, but the 5-minute cycle is the widely reported standard.)

Rarity Tiers & Base Income

Pets are sorted into ten rarity tiers. The counts below reflect September 2026 data, and income ranges represent base rates before size and mutation multipliers are applied.

**What it is:** Biome pets are distributed across the game's zones and unlock progressively as your movement speed increases.

**How it works:** Pets from Common to Cosmic rarity can appear in their respective biomes at any time. Secret, Eternal, and Divine egg spawns are rolled randomly during reset cycles. When one appears, the game announces its name and location server-wide. New pets are added to the game during weekly Saturday updates.

**What to watch for:** Claiming a pet in the Index grants a one-time reward of Speed and in-game currency. Early entries provide modest boosts, such as the Common Chicken (+420 Speed, $100) or the Rare Toucan (+8,100 Speed, $11,000). High-tier discoveries yield massive payouts, with Divine entries like Nightflame awarding up to $300 billion upon index completion.

Limited Shop Pets & The Rift Machine

**What it is:** Two alternative acquisition paths exist outside the standard biome track: the in-game Shop and the permanent Rift Machine.

**How it works:** Limited Shop pets never spawn in biome nests. Brainrot Eggs, purchasable with Robux, contain six exclusive pets with fixed hatch chances (e.g., Tung Tung Sahur at 39%, Bananita Dolphinita at 25%). Monster Eggs hatch standard variants like the 0.5% Dreadscale, alongside a 1% "Mecha Re-roll" modifier that can produce Mecha versions of any Monster pet.

The Rift Machine sits in the lobby and accepts three requested pets as permanent sacrifices. In return, it yields one of three eggs: Riftborn (45% chance), Riftbeasts (35%), or Shattered Rift (20%). These eggs hatch 15 exclusive Rift pets spanning Legendary to Divine rarity.

**What to watch for:** Event pets are strictly time-limited. The Drilla was awarded only to the top three players of the Monster Obby event during Admin Abuse, while dragons like the Baby Aurora Dragon and Shadow Dragon were tied to the Dragon event. Once an event concludes, those pets cannot be obtained again until potentially reissued.
