Steal an Egg Map: Biomes, Speed Requirements & Guardians
Reference guide for the Steal an Egg map layout, all 11 biome speed requirements, guardian mechanics, egg spawn cycles, and progression routes.
Overview
The Steal an Egg map consists of a single linear route featuring 11 biomes in a fixed order. Players progress by stealing eggs, outrunning guardians, and converting hatched pets into speed to unlock further zones. This reference covers the complete biome layout, speed thresholds, guardian behavior, and spawn mechanics to help you plan runs and optimize progression.
Map Layout & Biome Order
The map follows a strict sequence that never shuffles. Players start at the base and move outward through increasingly distant territories. As of late September 2026, the route includes 11 zones. One guide published on September 8, 2026 initially listed only 10 biomes before the final area was officially integrated into the map.
The fixed biome order is: 1. Forest 2. Lake 3. Desert 4. Jungle 5. Snow 6. Volcano 7. Abyss Ocean 8. Prehistoric 9. Cosmic 10. Cherry Blossom 11. Titan Temple
There are no border gates restricting movement. Players can walk into any biome at any speed, but the speed requirement only activates once an egg is picked up and the guardian begins the chase.
Speed Requirements & Guardian Behavior
Each biome enforces a minimum speed threshold that determines whether you can realistically attempt a steal. Meeting the exact minimum does not guarantee a clean escape, as carrying huge or giant eggs applies drag that reduces your effective movement speed. Multiple guides recommend clearing the recommended speed and roughly doubling it before farming a new zone to maintain a safe margin.
When a guardian catches you, it triggers a ragdoll effect that flings you away from the zone. The carried egg drops on the ground and becomes open loot for any nearby player. If you are caught inside the guardian's own biome, the egg returns to the nest. If you are caught in a biome closer to your base, the egg stays where it dropped and can be retrieved on a subsequent attempt. Weight-specific speed targets are often advised; for example, Prehistoric runs may require roughly 17.5M with a very light egg up to 20.5M with a very heavy egg.

Egg Cycles & Progression Mechanics
Egg spawns reset every 5 minutes across the entire map. The map closes for 13 seconds between cycles, leaving an active collection window of approximately 4 minutes and 50 seconds. Waiting at a zone boundary for a fresh spawn cycle is a common strategy to avoid competition and maximize clean runs.
Every regular biome contains an 8-pet egg pool. Completing all eight pets in a single zone rewards speed, money, and an exclusive bat skin. The full pet index spans 88 biome pets across the 11 zones, plus 39 limited-egg pets, totaling 127 collectible companions. High-rarity eggs can occasionally surface in low-speed biomes like Forest or Lake during normal spawn cycles, giving early accounts a chance at valuable pets without clearing late-game gates.
The core progression loop operates as a closed circuit: steal eggs, hatch pets, increase speed, and reach the next biome. Pet income funds treadmill upgrades, which generate the speed required to open later zones. The climb is heavily backloaded; the jump from Cherry Blossom to Titan Temple takes most players longer than the entire first half of the map combined.
Endgame Zones & Speed Building
Cherry Blossom serves as a late-game hub featuring the Sakura Incubator, a mutation machine exclusive to the zone. It unlocks with a Crane pet and operates using Sakura Crystals gathered during the Great Bloom event.
Titan Temple closes the current map as the furthest and most demanding zone. Added during the Admin Abuse update, it sits directly behind Cherry Blossom and carries a 7B speed requirement. This represents a +4.5B jump from the previous zone and is ten times higher than Cosmic's threshold.
Stealing shuts off during the night cycle, and the map closes for a short window. Players typically park on the treadmill during this downtime to convert dead time into speed, using the 13-second closure to complete base tasks. Speed itself is generated through three primary channels: - **Treadmill:** The primary speed generator, funded by pet income. - **Trails:** Multipliers that boost treadmill output up to x14 across ten rarity tiers. - **Robux Speed Packs:** Paid boosts ranging from +150K to +1B speed. The largest available pack clears the Cosmic requirement but falls short of Cherry Blossom's 2.5B threshold.
